These photos were taken November 13 at Sam's Club at the Chambersburg YMCA. The Sam's Kids enjoy a Tuesday evening full of fun activities, from 6:30-8:00 pm. The program runs from October through April. On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving the kids enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, given by a church in town. Also, on the first two Tuesdays in December the kids have Christmas parties. (This is when they receive the St. Luke Christmas gift.)
Each Tuesday they have swim time, which Kenny Sanders takes part in; gym time--they play basketball, kickball, etc.; chapel time, which teaches the kids about different Bible stories; and snack time, handled by Ann Marie Smith, Derek S. Goodhart (for the past five years), and Devin Goodhart (who is a new volunteer just this year).
St. Luke congregation has generously donated snacks for Sam's Club for a few years now, and they are greatly appreciated. Snacks may be placed in the Sam's box which is located under the Youth Bulletin Board (if it isn't there, snacks are not currently needed). Please take a moment to look at the pictures and see what actually happens at Sam's Club each Tuesday night.
