Rainforest Adventure, this year’s vacation Bible School theme, arrived at St. Luke on Sunday, July 13th. More than 30 children and 30 volunteer teens and adults participated in this year’s program that was held nightly from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. through Thursday, July 17th. Each evening everyone gathered in the sanctuary for opening worship and then proceeded to their classrooms to further explore the evening’s Bible story. After that each group rotated among four themed areas that continued to reinforce the evening’s lesson through music, drama, crafts and snacks.

A VBS swim party for families and friends was held at Guilford pool on Friday evening, July 18th. The week’s activities concluded with a continental VBS breakfast and sharing of Rainforest Adventure songs during worship on Sunday, July 20th. Thank you to everyone who participated and volunteered to make this Rainforest experience a meaningful and fun Adventure!
