The theme of this year’s St. Luke Vacation Bible School is Discovery Canyon. Explore the canyon by registering to participate! Register using the online form below, or in the narthex at St. Luke from May 3rd through June 7th, 2009. Our Discovery Canyon adventure will take place nightly Sunday, July 26th through Thursday, July 30th from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Join us as we meet Liz the Lizard, Max the Mantis, Olivia the Owl, Blossom the Burro, and Felix the Fox. Each evening these canyon critters will introduce us to our New and Old Testament Bible stories. We’ll also make cavern crafts, learn rocky new tunes, eat some signature snacks and enjoy a return visit with Jonah and Molly. Classes will be available for children ages four through fifth grade. Friends are welcome to join in the fun! Why not invite a friend? Each evening the group will gather in the sanctuary for opening worship and then proceed to rotate through crafts, drama, music, and snacks. Volunteers are needed to serve as guides (teachers), snack coordinators and support staff. Volunteers may be teens through adult who have completed their child protection background checks. Please see co-coordinators Sue Purnell or Lynn Fry if you would like to serve.
